What are BGMI name symbols?
BGMI name symbols are Unicode characters like ꧁, ☬ and ♛ that players paste around their nickname to frame and decorate it. They are not images and not a hack: they are standard characters from the Unicode standard, and each one costs 1 unit in the game’s name counter. The only real questions are cost and whether BGMI’s built-in font can draw the character, and both are answered next to every symbol below.

Frames and brackets
The pairs that build almost every BGMI name frame. Each side costs 1 unit, so a full pair costs 2.
Crowns, stars and royal marks
The India favourites. The Khanda ☬ and the crown ♛ appear in more BGMI names than any other symbols.
Power, war and danger

How to use a symbol in your BGMI name

Why some symbols show empty boxes
Your phone carries thousands of characters; BGMI’s name font carries far fewer. When the game meets a character it cannot draw, it prints an empty box instead. Newer decorative blocks and picture emoji are the usual casualties, which is why the Risky group above exists. The fix is never a different app or a mod: it is choosing characters the game font already has, and checking the rename preview before a Rename Card is spent.
Symbols are never against the rules; words can be. Krafton’s Rules of Conduct ban offensive nicknames, including banned words disguised with symbols or changed letters, with penalties up to a 90-day ban. Every symbol on this page is safe to use as decoration.

Why do some symbols show as empty boxes in my name?
BGMI draws names with its own built-in font. A symbol that is not in that font has no drawing and appears as a box, and coverage differs between phones. Always read the rename preview before confirming, and prefer symbols marked Works on this page.
Can I use emoji in my BGMI name?
You can paste them, but it is a bad trade: every emoji costs 2 units, many render as boxes in the game font, and some are filtered out of the name field. The classic symbols in the library give the same decorated look for half the cost.
