What is a font style?

A font style is the look of letters: bold, italic, curly, gothic or bubbly. On a computer you change it by picking a font. On Instagram, WhatsApp or Free Fire you cannot pick a font, so this tool does something clever instead.

It swaps each letter of your name for a look-alike letter from Unicode, the big list of characters every phone understands. "Ajay" becomes 𝓐𝓳𝓪𝔂 or 𝔸𝕛𝕒𝕪. These are real text characters, not pictures, so you can copy and paste them anywhere text is allowed.

That is also why a few styles show empty boxes on older phones: the phone does not have that character yet.

Which name styles work on Instagram, Free Fire and WhatsApp?

Styled names work in display names and bios, not in usernames, and every app has a length limit. Check this table before you paste, or pick the app in "Check length for" above and every style shows if it fits.

Every symbol and space counts. ꧁༺ 𝕬𝖏𝖆𝖞 ༻꧂ looks like four letters but uses ten, and some apps count fancy letters as two. So for games, pick a short style and paste it in a chat with yourself first. If it looks right there, spend the rename card.

One more thing about WhatsApp: people who saved your number still see the name they saved, so your styled name shows mainly in groups and to people who do not have you saved.

Can I use a stylish font in my Instagram username?

No. Instagram usernames accept only plain letters, numbers, periods and underscores, so styled letters are refused. Paste your styled name in the Name field instead: open your profile, tap Edit profile, then Name. The Name field shows in bold at the top of your profile and is searchable, so a styled name there still helps people find you. Your bio takes styled text too.

How do I make a name picture to download?

Open the Name image tab under the name box. Your name appears drawn in a real font. Pick a font, a look such as Neon, Gold or Fire, a background and a size: square for posts, tall for stories, wide for banners. Tap Download PNG to save it, or Share picture to send it straight to WhatsApp or Instagram on your phone.

The picture is made on your phone, so your name is never uploaded. Fonts include Hindi, Bangla and Urdu faces too, so you can make a picture of your name in your own script.

Why does my stylish name show boxes?

Boxes mean the phone or app does not have that character in its fonts. It happens most with rare symbols and older phones. The fix is simple: choose a common style such as Bold, Bold Script or Double Struck, which work on almost every phone made in the last few years. Before you change a game name or a profile, paste the style into a chat with yourself first.

A symbol or two around your name makes it stand out. Tap any symbol to copy it, or pick it in Left symbol and Right symbol above.

One strong symbol on each side looks better than five, and too many symbols eat into the length limit.
