BGMI Stylish Name Generator
Type your name and get BGMI-ready styles that respect the game’s real limits. Every result shows two counts: how long it looks, and how long the game counts it. That second number is why names from other generators get rejected.
Only your name is live in this mockup; the level, ID, badges and stats are layout samples. Your phone’s font decides the final look, so always check the real rename preview in the game before you confirm. Type above and this card updates with your first result; tap any style below to preview that one here.
Safe styles use letters BGMI’s own font can draw. Risky styles look great on Instagram but can turn into empty boxes in the game, so test them in the rename preview before you spend a Rename Card.
What is a BGMI stylish name?
A BGMI stylish name is your in-game nickname written with Unicode letters and gaming symbols, like ꧁༒𝓐𝓻𝓳𝓾𝓷༒꧂, instead of plain text. It is pasted into the name field when you use a Rename Card. Three facts decide whether it works: the working limit is 14 characters, fancy letters count double in the game’s counter, and only some fonts render in BGMI’s built-in font. This page is built around all three.
How to make a stylish name for BGMI (step by step)
Step 1: Type your name in the generator above. Step 2: Pick a style from the Safe tier first, Bold, Double Struck and Small Caps work on almost every phone. Step 3: Add a frame or one symbol and watch the unit counter: green means it fits the 14 limit, and the kill feed note tells you if it is short enough to show fully in matches. Step 4: If the name is taken, use the Make it unique button instead of guessing. Step 5: Copy the name, open BGMI, paste it in the rename field and read the preview before confirming. If any character shows as an empty box there, come back and pick a Safe style.
Why BGMI rejects stylish names (the hidden counter)
Most generators count characters the way your phone shows them. BGMI counts them in UTF-16 units, and the two counts are not the same. Plain letters, small caps and classic symbols cost 1 unit each. Letters from the mathematical alphabets (bold, script, gothic, double-struck, monospace) and every emoji cost 2 units each.
Real measured example: the name ꧁༒𝓐𝓻𝓳𝓾𝓷༒꧂ looks like 9 characters on screen, but the game counts it as 14 units, exactly at the limit. Add one more symbol and the same name gets rejected as too long, even though it still looks short. Every name on this page, in the generator and in the lists below, is checked against the unit count, not the visible count.
BGMI fonts that work in game (and the ones that show boxes)
| Tier | Styles | What happens in game |
|---|---|---|
| Safe | Bold, Double-struck, Sans Bold, Monospace, Small Caps, Fullwidth | Drawn by the game’s font on most phones. Small Caps and Fullwidth also cost only 1 unit per letter. |
| Test first | Circled, Italic, Bold Italic, Parenthesized | Work on many devices but not all. Check the rename preview before confirming. |
| Risky | Script, Bold Script, Fraktur, Bold Fraktur | Often show as empty boxes in the kill feed because the game font has no drawing for them. Fine for Instagram, risky for BGMI. |
The symbols inside the generator are the ones players across India use daily and the game font handles well. The full library with reliability notes lives on the BGMI name symbols page.

How to change name in BGMI with a Rename Card
1. Get a Rename Card: most players receive one free while levelling up (sources disagree on the exact level), and it is otherwise sold in the Shop under Treasures for 180 UC. 2. Open your profile and tap the edit option next to your name. 3. Paste the name from this page. 4. Read the preview carefully: any empty box means that character will not show in game. 5. Only then confirm. A card is used once, and names can be changed once per day, so the preview check is worth the ten seconds. The full walkthrough is in our Rename Card guide, and the Hinglish version is BGMI me stylish name kaise likhe.
Read this before you spend a card. The 14-character figure is the community working limit that players and the game’s own error messages support; Krafton has never published an official number, and this page will not pretend otherwise. What Krafton has published is its Rules of Conduct: offensive nicknames and clan names are banned, disguising a banned word with symbols or changed letters is still covered, and penalties run up to a 90-day ban. Symbols themselves are never the offence. The words are.

Frequently asked questions
What is the character limit for a BGMI name?
The working limit is 14 characters, and every letter, symbol, bracket and space counts. Krafton has not published an official number, but the game’s own error message and player testing both land on 14. Design to 12 or less if you want your full name to show in the kill feed.
Why does my stylish name show empty boxes in BGMI?
BGMI draws names with its own built-in font, not your phone’s font. Letters outside that font, most often Fraktur, Gothic and Script styles, have no drawing and appear as boxes. Switch to a Safe style on this page, like Bold, Double-struck or Small Caps, and the boxes disappear.
Why was my name rejected as too long when it looks short?
Because the game counts UTF-16 units, not visible characters. Fancy letters and emoji cost 2 units each, so a name that looks like 9 characters can count as 14 or more. The generator above shows both counts for every result so you can check before you paste.
How do I get a Rename Card in BGMI, and what does it cost?
Most players get one Rename Card free while levelling up, though sources disagree on the exact level. After that, a card costs 180 UC in the Shop under Treasures. A card works once, and you can change your name once per day.
How do I add a space in my BGMI name?
A normal space is blocked in the name field. Players use an invisible filler character instead, which this page adds with the ‘Add invisible space’ button in the generator. It also helps make a taken name unique by splitting it into two words.
My BGMI name is already taken. What can I do?
Use the ‘Name taken? Make it unique’ button in the generator. It builds versions of your name with an invisible space, a safe symbol or a short suffix, which the game treats as different names while they still read the same to other players.
Can symbols in my name get me banned?
No. Krafton’s Rules of Conduct ban offensive words in nicknames and clan names, including words disguised with symbols or changed letters, with penalties up to a 90-day ban. The symbols themselves are never the offence, so keep the wording clean and decorate freely.
How do I choose a BGMI clan name?
Keep it short enough to leave room for player names: a 2 to 4 letter tag plus brackets already uses about 5 of the 14 characters. Clan names follow the same conduct rules as nicknames. Ready clan names and tags are on the BGMI clan names page linked above.
